Cluster Academy: 20. - 22. April 2010 in Linz

For international observers, Upper Austria with its Clusterland Oberösterreich GmbH is perceived as a truly successful model of a "cluster region", due to its concentrated and visible efforts in supporting the set-up and professional management of 6 cluster and 3 network organisations over more than 12 years.

The 3-day workshop gives a detailed insight in our cluster management operations, covering areas of activities like knowledge management, initiation and support of cooperation projects, qualification and event management, marketing&PR, internationalisation. A particular attention will be given this year to the financing mix important to ensure a sound self-financing ratio of the cluster organisations as well as to the evaluation and measuring tools of the cluster organisation performance (indicators, reporting system, customer satisfaction analysis).

This year's academy will also include direct visits to cluster companies (Softwarepark Hagenberg, Rosenbauer International AG) and find out more about their motivation of being active in a cluster and what benefits they get from that.

The speakers are themselves cluster managers and experts from our own organisations under the leadership of Werner Pamminger, general manager of Clusterland and cluster manager of the plastics cluster.

The Cluster Academy Upper Austria is addressed to cluster & network managers, regional or national innovation agencies or other public institutions working with clusters and wishing to learn directly from experiencd practitioners.
